Morel, Léon (-1905) |
Turkish (Ottoman) ambassador in Berlin from 1898 to 1905. Previously in Beirut and London. A first selection of Morel's coins was purchased by the Münzkabinett Berlin via R. Kube in 1908. Bought from his widow Clare Morel des Boullets for 500 Marks, the rest was sold for 5,000 Marks to the Egger brothers in Vienna and became a part of their auction sales in January 1908. 354 coins (91 in silber and 263 aes).
