Notice in the accession book of medieval coins: Transferred by Mr Toelken from the bequest of Lieutenant Colonel Schmidt in 1846. Date 22 May 1846. Notice in the acession book for ancient coins: „Vendidit Schmidt (Saarlouis), ex nummis fatris nuper Berolini defuncti.“ Date 4 November1846. Hence bought from the brother at Saarlouis of the recently deceased Schmidt of Berlin. Both entries obviously refer to the same individual. |
