Numismatist and historian. PhD in 1840. Co-founder of the Berlin Numismatic Society in 1843. Koehne worked for the Ermitage in Saint Petersburg from 1845. Later ennobled and appointed State Councillor. Lit.: H. Dannenberg, Nekrolog, ZfN 14, 1887, Sitzungsberichte pp. 7-8. |
