Consul in 52 BC. Govenor of the province of Asia in 49/48 BC.

His name appears in Latin on cistophors iussued in Pergamum/Mysia in 49/48 BC, always in comination with his title of imperator.

Proconsul in Syria, imperator as of 49 BC.

He committed suicide near Hippo Regius following the defeat at Thapsus in 46 BC.
