Name

Weber, Andreas

Mintmaster in Nordhausen from 1615 to 1618, in Mühlhausen/Thuringia from 1618 to 1620, and in Halberstadt in 1622.

Born in Wernigerode.

Personal symbol rose, above which are a Zainhaken (mintmaster's tool) and an acorn. He did not seem to have signed coins produced at other mints.

After negotiations with the council of the town of Mühlhausen in spring 1618, Weber was sworn-in in June 1618 on the Minting ordinance of the Imperial Lower Saxon circle. His final acceptance and swearing-in as the town's mintmaster by the council, however, did not take place until 4 December 1618, which is also the date of his certificate of appointment.

In 1620 he left the service of Mühlhausen, on 24 July of the same year he received a certificate of his services.

In 1622 Weber is recorded as a mintmaster in Halberstadt.
