A gold coin with the value of 20 shillings (from 1612 onward temporarily 22 sh.) or one pound respectively struck between 1604 and 1619 for the first time by James I. Also issued by Charles I, the Commonwealth, and Charles II until 1663 when being replaced by the Guinea (see there). |
