Peel, 1st Baronet Robert (25.05.1750 - 03.05.1830)

Textile manufacturer in Fazeley, Straffordshire. Member of Parliament for Tamworth intermittently between 1790 and 1820. Created Baronet in 1800.

Robert Peel issued tokens in 1811 and 1812, in some cases together with Harding. Peel was the father of the prime minister Sir Robert Peel, 2nd Baronet.
