Son of the mintmaster Ernst Knorr the Elder (1556-1622). Appointed mintmaster in Corvey/Northrhine-Westphalia in October 1620, active there until 1624. Again appointed mintmaster in Corvey from 1638 to 1643. Wolff Albrecht Knorre's personal symbol was a combination of a Zainhaken (mintmaster's tool) and a tau cross resp. a monogram of the letters F, K and a Zainhaken. Lit.: P. Ilisch - A.
