Tübben, Prof. Ludwig (1869-1946) |
From 1910 to 1916 Ludwig Tübben was a professor of mining science and the design of mining systems at the Bergakademie zu Berlin. From 1916 to 1945 full professor for mechanical engineering and mining at the Royal Technical University of Berlin (from 1919 Technical University of Berlin). Ludwig Tübben published works on mine rescue and drilling operations. He was the inventor of the first gas protection device, which was used in the German Navy as a "fleet breathing apparatus" (Flottenatmer). In 1933 Tübben presented the Münzkabinett Berlin with a medal for him by Dautert. |
