Marcus Annius Afrinus |
Roman governor (Legatus Augusti pro praetore) in Galatia between c. AD 49 and 54. Consul suffectus in AD 66. His name (on the civic issues also his portrait, but never an explicit title) is known from coins of the Galatian league, from Iconium in Lycaonia and Pessinus in Galatia issued during the reign of emperor Claudius: RPC I nos. 3541-3543 (Iconium); nos. 3555-3556 and 3558-3561 (Galatian league); 3557 (Pessinus).
