Name

Grosch (Gross), Georg

Georg Grosch was appointed as mintmaster for the Princes of Anhalt-Zerbst for the mint of Coswig on 22 July 1621.

But Grosch accumulated debts, sending a letter to the Prince, wherein he promises to pay all his debts. Any trace is lost soon afterwards.

Thormann (1993/94) identifies a rose (Stachelrose) as his personal symbol.

Grosch is problably the same individual recorded as the mintmaster of Gräfenthal in 1622, a certain Georg Gross.
