Dannenberg, Friedrich Emil Hermann (04.08.1824 - 14.06.1905) |
District judge, coin collector, and numismatist. Head of the Berlin Numismatic Society from 1877 to 1893. Its honorary president from 1893 to 1905. Dannenberg's collection of Greek coins was aquiried by the Münzkabinett Berlin in 1863 [Acc. 1863/28639 on 7 May 1863, 1,236 ancient coins]. In 1870 [Acc. 1870/28957 on 23 November 1870] and 1892 [Acc. 1892/836 on 5 July 1892] his collection of Medieval coins was purchased. There are also individual aquisitions starting as early as 1842.
