Famous stamp and coin collector. Marchese de Ferrari, duke of Galliera, prince of Lucedio. Renotière von Ferrary purchased the coin collection of Ernest Gariel and in 1911/1912 with the help of the Egger brothers of Vienna sold the now enlarged collection of 966 Carolingian coins to the Münzkabinett Berlin. Acc. 1911/374: First part of 600 coins; Acc. 1912/302: Second part with 366 coins, for a total of 50,000 Marks. 163 of the 966 coins purchased by the Münzkabinett Berlin were later sold as doubles with the help of L.
