Archon, hipparchos and strategos in Cyzicus/Mysia between c. AD 138 and 165. Klaudios Hestiaios is attested holding different offices during the Antonine period. His name appears on coins issued under Antoninus Pius with the addition "strategos" (RPC IV,2 (online) Temp. nos. 679 and 7777), "archon" (RPC IV,2 (online) Temp. nos. 678, 2321-2322, 2658, 9685), and "hipparchos" (RPC IV,2 (online) Temp. no. 677 with EΠΙ ΚΛ ΕСΤΙΑΙΟV Β ΙΠΠΑΡΧΕ - the only type adding "B", "the younger"). There are coins lacking a specific office mentioned. Under Lucius Verus and Marcus Aurelius he is named "neokoros" (sic) (RPC IV,2 (online) Temp. nos. 680, 2325, 2331, and 2993). Lit.: W.
